Is that the Age of Aquarius in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?

WTF are all these astrology forums abuzz with, talking about a Great Conjunction happening on December 21? No, that’s not what we’re calling our podcast launch—which is happening the same day at a podcast player near you!—though maybe we should, because both events are gonna rock your world.

The Great Conjunction (also being called a Christmas Star if you’re into that sort of thing) is when Jupiter and Saturn align at the same place in the zodiac. This celestial coupling stirs up some shit when it happens about every two decades, but the one we’re about to hit is the closest Jupiter and Saturn have gotten to each other in the night sky in almost 800 years. They’ll be so close it’ll almost look like they’re, um, conjunctioning. Fuck yeah.

Great Conjunctions like to really shake things up, causing a cosmic shift to a new way of viewing the world, both individually and collectively. But Jupiter and Saturn k-i-s-s-i-n-g-ing on the Aquarian side of town means an energy shift of epic proportions. For the past 200 years the two planets have solely met up under earth signs and, while we have nothing against you solid types, it’s getting way too musty up in here. Time to air the joint out.

Earth signs are all about material success, status, and building shit. That energy has infused the collective hive mind for two centuries, leading society to largely prize big business, big government, and wealth accumulation and hoarding. By contrast, Aquarius is an air sign and governs surprises, innovations, rebellions, and humanity.

Translation: as a society we’re shifting from “me capitalist, me get shit done and own shit” energy to “hey, y’all, maybe we should, like, dismantle some old stuffy systems that only worked for a few and rebuild in a way that allows us to care for everyone like we’re all human beings deserving of love and stuff” energy. Double-stuffed oreo fuck yeah.

That means December 21 is the perfect day to knock some bad shit out of your life and manifest some good shit into it. Adding to the “what a perfect day to manifest some shit” factor is the fact that the Great Conjunction aligns with the Winter Solstice.

The Winter Solstice is all about a return to the light. This is the day when FINALLY the days are going to start getting longer again—you know, the whole “sun is reborn” shindig. It’s a time when the veil between dimensions is thin, and we’re more open to and connected with spirit energy. Thanks to the new, higher frequencies in town, it’s a perfect day to do a manifestation ritual, meditate on what you want to focus on in your life in this new phase of the year, let go of things that no longer serve you, and connect with your own spirituality.

In short: Winter Solstice energy + New Conjunction energy + so fresh, so clean Aquarius energy = it’s time to stop holding on to shit that holds you back and instead connect to your own limitless possibilities.

And that’s exactly what we’re doing at Shit My Soul Says. If getting deeper in touch with your own spirituality or connecting to your spirit energy is on your 2021 to-do list, you should listen to us. We’re gonna talk about all things woo and give tips to help you on your spiritual journey.

And, since we’re launching three episodes on the Solstice, you can connect to your energy by connecting to us. Grab a cup of tea (or some whiskey-spiked eggnog), a cozy blanket, and curl up to celebrate the return of light with your solstice candle and new best woo friends.
